Values for LIFE

As we conclude another year of ELN here at East Valley Church, I can’t help but stop and think about incredible journey that we have been on over the past year. Here are some things that our students have been able to learn and apply to their lives.
Setting mission statements and core values are critical when you begin a journey to ensure that you arrive at your desired destination. At Nor Cal ELN in Sacramento, California we have accomplished that goal. Our mission statement is:
To Equip People To Live Successful Christian Lives!
How do we do this? We start by understanding what a Christian life looks like. We then move towards learning how to live it with success. This is where our Core Values come in. To live a successful Christian life we realize that we need a road map and a set of values to follow that we all agree on. Here are the Core Values that we have chosen to live by:
L – Leadership
We believe every Christian has influence, and leads by passionately serving others.
“For even I the son of man came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28
I – Integrity
We strive to be people of God’s Word, so we can be people of our word, living in the light with nothing to hide.
For the Word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are. Hebrews 4:12
F – Fellowship
We believe that we are to intentionally to pursue Godly relationships by loving God and loving people.
We are telling you about what we ourselves have seen and heard, so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:3
E – Excellence
We strive to give our best in all we do, because all we do is for Jesus.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Colossians 3:23
At Nor Cal ELN, we have a lot of fun. We have had retreats at Dillon Beach, served at our National Foursquare Convention, participated in and helped lead our District conferences and much, much more. This summer we will be attending the TEAM Church conference in Tacoma, Washington, with amazing speakers like Steven Furtick, Ed Young & worship with Israel Houghton.
